Creating Hollywood Glamour Tutorial – 2 hours. The resulting painted image in this tutorial has long been the most beloved portrait in my gallery and has been featured in national and international publications. (I have painted it before) I have long produced vintage portraits for clients and I am very comfortable with this style of painting. You will feel as though you are sitting at my computer with me engaged in conversation as we experience this painting process. There are two hours primarily of realtime painting to transform the photo to a piece of “Hollywood” Glamour Art.” We will have a great chat and visit during the process This is blender painting, hence a suitable tutorial for the beginner as well. The style of photo used is key to your ultimate results. I admit that my voice drops low sometimes when I am concentrating and I am primarily “talking to myself” – Yes – it happens from time to time. Preparing a Portrait for Painting Tutorial – 30 minutes. This tutorial should be viewed first and is a companion tutorial/ and demonstrated the preparation process before beginning to paint this portrait. Three different portraits are used to demonstrate my unique 8 step process for preparing a portrait for painting. This gives me far better results that the quick addition of a structure filter which I often demonstrate. Finally due to request, I have created, a complete tutorial dedicated to this process alone.
This tutorial is designed to be easy to follow and easy to understand. A beautiful “blending painting” is ultimately completed.
The demonstration will include :
- Painting on an empty layer using blending brushes,
- Skin is painted.
- Hair is painted.
- There is careful attention to painting beautiful eyes and lips with highlights which “speak glamour”.
